Barnardos Australia works with adolescents often helping them to reconnect with their own families. By meeting young people 'on their turf and on their terms', providing counselling, guidance and referral to those at risk or in crisis, Barnardos reaches out and gains the trust of young people at their most vulnerable.

Where adolescents cannot live with their families, Barnardos provides community placements and programs to assist adolescents to cope with their particular pressures and difficulties. Services are available in a number of locations. Some support young people in their own families while others offer accommodation and additional support.
